His parents encouraged him by buying him the instrument and also getting him a private teacher. By age six, Temi Started playing.
He was the winner of God Children Great Talent (GCGT) Season 5 in age 7-9 category held at Eko Hotel, where over 3000 children from US, UK, CANADA and Nigeria participated in the competition. Furthermore, what will blow your mind totally, is Temmy’s spirituality and knowledge about God. In this exclusive chat with www.ecclezzia.com, he tells us more about his talent and his passion for God. Excerpts;
Ecclezzia: What inspires you on stage?
Temmy Sax: When I am on stage, God just takes over. God passes His message through me
Ecclezzia: When you are on stage and people appreciate you with all sorts of ovation, and scream, shout and clap; do you lose focus?
Temmy Sax No I don’t lose focus. I just totally focus on God because my inspiration comes only from Him. I am just here to praise God and God in turn passes His message through me, That is what I love to do and that is what I do
Ecclezzia: How was your talent discovered.
Temmy Sax My talent was discovered when I was little because I loved musical instruments a lot. I first started with the drums, I also played the talking drum for a while but after time, i started watching people like Pastor Kunle Ajayi, Beejay Sax, Mike Aremu ans Segun Oluwayomi and some others and i got inspired. Later, my mom and dad got me the saxophone and also a teacher, i started learning and that’s how I started playing.
Ecclezzia: What is your message to other children who want to be like you?
Temmy Sax Well, they must first realize that it is very important to work hard to develop your talents and not bury it.
Ecclezzia: Do you have any upcoming projects.
Temmy Sax: Yes, I am currently working on a single. I will be releasing on the 20th of August during a concert I will be organising. So, we are planning towards that.
