Before you can accomplish anything in life, you have got to have a dream. You must have a mental picture of a preferable future.
Every champion, leader or winner always has a dream that drives them on. A dream is indispensable; without a dream you are sunk.
The dreams we have today control and shape our tomorrow. It is not enough to have a dream, it is important that we take the necessary actions to ensure our dream comes to pass.
Therefore, it is time to wake up to do something about your dream. The following tips will help you actualise your dreams.
First, prepare to the size of your dream by becoming the person in your dream. You are the most important person in your dream.
You are the magnet who will attract the resources your dreams needs to become real (Amos 4:12). Get the necessary information, knowledge, skills and experience to help you become the person in your dream.
If you need to improve your qualifications, do not hesitate (Galatians 4: 1-2). Second, act according to the size of your dream.
Dare to dream big and act boldly while trusting God to show up on your behalf. Do not allow your current position and circumstances to determine the size of your dream. Nothing moves until you move.
There are different steps or actions you need to take to ensure the fulfilment of your dreams. Stop dreaming and take those steps – talk to someone, register your business, make enquiries, etc.
Third, do not give up on your dreams in spite of the setbacks, trials, challenges and hindrances.
Most of the trials come to clarify your motives and to strengthen your character (Deuteronomy 8: 1-3).
Past failures should become learning experiences; they should not become hindrances to success. Learn from your past experiences and failures and become more determined to act differently so as to achieve your dreams.
Let the challenges help you become more resolute. Ensure that you do not share your dreams with negative people or cowards because they will only discourage you.
Whatever you are facing right now is just a light affliction which is working out for your good (2 Corinthians 4:17).
All that Joseph experienced from the time his brothers mistreated him and sold him into slavery in Egypt to the time he came before Pharaoh worked out for his good. Believe that God will always make a way for you even though everything looks gloomy.
Fourth, do not put your trust in man to ensure that your dream will come to pass. Always trust God. He cannot lie and what He has said concerning you will come to pass (Jeremiah 17: 5-8).
The God-given dream you have was not given to you based on your resources; it was given to you based on God’s resources.
God did not give you a promise based on your ability but He gave you a promise based on His own ability (Philippians 4:19).
It is only God who never goes back on His word. He never starts something He cannot finish. God is the only one who has the capacity to help you bring your dreams to pass.
